CANTON , OH (01/24/2014)(readMedia)-- Former teammates of the 2012 OHSAA-Division 4 state championship men's basketball team (Berlin Hiland High School) – along with some additional familiar faces – will meet again when Malone University and the University of Findlay square off on Saturday, February 1 for men's and women's NCAA – D 2 basketball.
Jason Miller and Neil Gingerich – now both playing for the Pioneers – will face Findlay's Dylan Kaufman, a former teammate on the 2012 championship squad. Holmes County basketball fans will also recognize Jalen Miller, a current Pioneer and member of the 2011 championship team; as well as Lindsy Snyder (West Holmes) and Sarah Bardall (Garaway) – both playing for the Pioneers' women's team.
The Malone University Pioneers are providing free bus transportation and a chance to become a part of the "Red Sea" on Saturday, February 1 beginning at 10 a.m. through 6:30 p.m. This is an open event for Holmes County high school students and their friends.
An itinerary follows:
10 a.m. -- Bus Pick-up at Hiland High School
(Look for the Pioneer Trails bus).
11:15 a.m. -- Arrive at Malone University and bus tour of Malone campus
11:45 a.m. -- Complementary lunch in the Hoover Dining Hall
1 p.m. -- Malone's Women's Basketball game vs. University of Findlay - free admission.

3 p.m. -- Malone's Men's Basketball game vs. University of Findlay - free admission.

5:30 p.m. -- Depart Malone University Campus
6:30 p.m. -- Bus Arrives at Hiland High School
