NORTHFIELD, MN (11/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Carleton College senior volleyball standout Jessa Youso (Virginia, Minn.) has been named to the all-conference team by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) .
Youso, who also garnered All-MIAC distinction in 2011, has collected 303 kills so far this season and possesses an overall attack percentage of .346, which ranks third among conference players and is currently the second-highest figure in team history. Her average of 3.48 kills per set was fourth in the MIAC. She also figured in 65 blocks, 40 of those coming during conference contests and slotting her fifth in the league. Youso was one of only three conference players to rank among the top-10 in both kills and blocks.
The Knights finished the conference regular season with a 6-5 mark, finishing in a tie for fifth. They are 18-9 overall after dispatching of St. Olaf College in the MIAC Playoff quarterfinal round. Carleton faces top seed University of St. Thomas in the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 1 in St. Paul.
