Background:

Genesee Community College will recognize veterans tomorrow on Veteran's Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Throughout the day, video screens across the Batavia campus will display photos of veterans who are connected to GCC either as students, staff, alumni or family members. At 12:00 PM, a remembrance ceremony will honor veterans in the Honorary International Peace Garden just outside the Conable Technology Building. Following the ceremony at 12:30PM visitors are invited to the Clock Tower where the Genesee County Joint Veterans Honor Guard will lead a Salute to the Flag.

In addition, all guests can enjoy refreshments in the Lobby of the Conable Technology Building and also visit GCC's designated Veterans' Lounge located in the Student Union.

All events are being coordinated by the staff development group GUSTO, Genesee Unites to Support Team Opportunities.
