MILLERSVILLE, PA (05/23/2011)(readMedia)-- Gabrielle Berry of Norristown, Pa. has been chosen to receive Millersville University's Biology Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen majoring in biology and is based on academic merit.
Berry will attend Millersville University this fall, majoring in biology. She completed numerous honors and advanced placement (AP) courses at Norristown Area High School. Berry was a member of the softball and field hockey teams for all four years of high school and the diving team during grade 11. She received a merit award from the Society of Women Engineers and is a volunteer at Gateway Animal Hospital and Norriton Recreation Center.
The Biology Scholarship is given by an anonymous donor and is awarded in the amount of $2,000, to be split evenly between the student's fall and spring semesters. The award is renewable for up to six additional semesters if the student has maintained excellent academic standing and is pursuing a major in biology.
