Gareth Jones wins student award from Temple University's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management

PHILADELPHIA, PA (04/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Gareth Jones of Havertown, Pa., has been named the undergraduate recipient of this year's David Bitman Endowed Scholarship from the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) at Temple University.

Jones, a senior sport and recreation major with a minor in general business studies, will accept the award at the 2011 STHM Awards Dinner on April 29 at the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.

The award is presented to an outstanding junior or senior in Sport and Recreation Management with plans to pursue a master's degree in Sport and Recreation Administration at Temple University. A strong emphasis is placed on community service when selecting the recipients.
