NEW LONDON, CT (04/15/2011)(readMedia)-- Geoffrey Taylor, a sophomore at Connecticut College, has been elected chair of the Students Activities Council (SAC) of the Student Government Association for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Taylor assumes many responsibilities. As chair of SAC, he coordinates the social life of the college and as such, has jurisdiction over all matters involving entertainment on the campus, including the master calendar. SAC sponsors activities such as dances, lectures, parties, coffeehouses, comedy nights, and traditional events including Harvestfest, Winter Formal, and Floralia.
Taylor, a 2008 graduate of Fitch Senior High School, is the son of Vernal Taylor and Susan Taylor, both of Groton.
