George Kent of New Windsor Inducted to the SUNY Delhi Athletic Hall of Fame

DELHI, NY (06/06/2011)(readMedia)-- George Kent was inducted to the SUNY Delhi Athletic Hall of Fame on June 4 in the Clark Field House on the Delhi campus.
George Kent was captain of Delhi's basketball and baseball teams during the 1958-1959 season under Coach Robert Brown. In 1959, Kent became the first baseball player from Delhi to be named an NJCAA All-American. He served active duty in the U.S. Army, started his own landscaping business and raised a family after graduating from the Business program at Delhi.
SUNY Delhi's athletic programs for men and women have earned the college a solid reputation for excellence at the NJCAA Division III level.
