SUNY Delhi Student Receives EOP Award for Student Excellence
SUNY Delhi student Mya Osorto Marin has been named a recipient of the 2026 Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for EOP Student Excellence, a statewide honor recognizing academic achievement and perseverance. A Humanities and Social Sciences major, Mya credits the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) with helping make college possible and providing the financial, academic, and personal support she needed to succeed.
Since arriving at Delhi, Mya has excelled academically while becoming deeply involved in campus life as a peer mentor, student ambassador, and active participant in community service. She plans to continue her education at SUNY Oswego to study psychology, with the goal of becoming a high school counselor and supporting students facing challenges similar to her own.
The award was presented by SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr. at a reception in Albany, NY, on March 10, 2026.
