FULTON, MO (06/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Gillian Tracey of Spring, Texas, was recognized for her accomplishments and campus involvement during the Co-Curricular Honors Banquet at William Woods University.

Tracey, who graduated in May with a major in graphic design, received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Senior Award. The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Tracey was also one of 15 WWU students named to the 2012 edition of "Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges" based on outstanding campus leadership.

A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the Who's Who students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

By being listed in "Who's Who," Tracey joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

In her time at William Woods, Tracey was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, University
