Girls Learn about STEM careers at WKCTC November 1

PADUCAH, KY (10/03/2018) Girls in fifth grade through high school are invited to a fun learning experience at the 2018 STEM 4 Girls Conference at West Kentucky Community and Technical College on November 1.

STEM 4 Girls, which is free, will feature hand-on activities and demonstrations to inspire the students to learn about educational and career choices in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The event will be held in WKCTC's Emerging Technology Center from 5-8 p.m.

WPSD Local 6's Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Rukavina will be the keynote speaker. Girls will also attend three hands-on sessions presented by local women STEM leaders. A light sack dinner will be served and participants will have a chance to win door prizes.
