Governor Paterson to Hold Budget Town Hall in Westchester County

ALBANY, NY (03/11/2010)(readMedia)-- Governor David A. Paterson today announced that he will hold a budget town hall meeting in Westchester County on Monday, March 15, to talk to New Yorkers about the 2010-2011 budget and other issues related to the State's economy.

"We will not close this monumental budget deficit without the help of all New Yorkers. This reality demands our attention and the people deserve an opportunity to ask questions, present ideas and hear directly from their leaders," Governor Paterson said. "Just as we met with our neighbors in Brooklyn, we will welcome residents from Westchester and the surrounding areas to join us for a discussion on our State's future."

The town hall meeting will take place at the Theodore D. Young Community Center Gymnasium, 32 Manhattan Avenue in White Plains. Doors will open at 11:00 AM, with the event scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM. Members of the public who wish to attend are asked to RSVP to events@chamber.state.ny.us or 518-474-2150. Seating is limited and will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis.

Press wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to Brendan.Collins@chamber.state.ny.us.
