Grace Swanson Performs in Spring Dance Concert at Washington College

CHESTERTOWN, MD (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Grace Swanson '12, daughter of Joann and David Swanson of Silver Spring, MD, has recently choreographed and performed dances for the Spring Dance Concert at Washington College. The concert featured student dancers who performed a variety of dances, choreographed almost entirely by students, in Decker Theater in the Gibson Center for the Arts. Swanson choreographed and performed "Dream," "Memories," and "Gypsy Dance" en pointe. She also performed in a number of jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, and tap pieces.

Swanson is majoring in Biology with a minor in Anthropology. She has been dancing since 1993 and has trained or danced at the Bossov Ballet Theatre, Maryland Youth Ballet, and the American Ballet Theatre. Swanson graduated from The Barrie School.
