Huge cryptomining operation run by Marathon Digital Holdings linked to serious health concerns

GRANBURY, TX (10/08/2024) (readMedia)-- On Wednesday, Granbury residents and attorneys with Earthjustice will hold a virtual press conference shortly after filing a lawsuit against Marathon Digital Holdings, which operates a noise polluting Bitcoin mine in Granbury, TX. The lawsuit alleges that Marathon creates a private nuisance by causing and then failing to mitigate excessive noise pollution caused by their 24/7 proof-of-work cryptocurrency mining operations, resulting in sustained harm to the surrounding community. Earthjustice filed the lawsuit on behalf of Citizens Concerned About Wolf Hollow (CCAWH), a group of over two dozen Granbury residents who suffer from serious health issues directly linked to the Bitcoin mine's constant noise pollution.
