Green Watchdog Katherine Nadeau Among Albany's Rising Stars

ALBANY, NY (05/21/2012)(readMedia)-- In response to City & State's release of its 40 Rising Stars under 40 for 2012, Environmental Advocates of New York issued the following statement, attributable to Robert Moore, Executive Director:

"Katherine Nadeau's recognition as one of the state capital's 40 rising stars under 40 is well deserved and comes as no surprise. Katherine is a leader in New York's environmental community, and has spearheaded efforts in Albany to slow the state's rush to permit industrial gas drilling called 'fracking.'

The board and staff of Environmental Advocates of New York congratulate Katherine on this honor and have long considered her a rising star."

For more than 40 years, Environmental Advocates has served as the Empire State's green government watchdog, holding elected officials and state agencies accountable for their actions regarding the health and safety of New York's air, land, water, and wildlife.
