Groups Call on Gov. Paterson to Repeal Executive Order 25, Put Public Interest Before Special Interests
Governor's Mandate to Gut State Regulations Endangers Health & Safety of New Yorkers
ALBANY, NY (08/13/2009)(readMedia)-- More than a dozen organizations, including representatives from consumer, health and safety, environmental, energy, good government, and financial groups will call on Governor David Paterson to repeal Executive Order 25 today. The Order would allow a handpicked group of top aides, led by Secretary of the Governor Larry Schwartz, to repeal or rescind state regulations considered outdated or overly burdensome to businesses and special interest groups.
