Hartwick College Student-Athletes Earn Empire 8 Field Hockey All-Conference Honors

The Hawks placed two players on the 2024 first team, two on the second team, and two on the third team on Nov. 13.

First team selections, midfielders Hope Angioletti of Hopewell Junction, NY, and Ashley Tricarico of Hopewell Junction, NY, played crucial roles this season with Tricarico serving as the primary inserter on penalty corners as well as serving on the defensive penalty corner squad. Angioletti was a threat as well offensively, upping her offensive output from her first-year campaign.

Danielle Hand of Queensbury, NY, makes her second career appearance on an Empire 8 All-Conference with Second Team honors in 2024. Last year's Empire 8 Rookie of the Year put up nearly identical numbers from her first-year campaign, with nine goals and four assists. Joining Hand on the Second Team was defender, Kiara Dolan of Cazenovia, NY. Dolan was a crucial piece of a Hartwick defensive line that allowed just 1.74 goals per game. She was also the team's flyer on the penalty corner defensive unit.

Jessica Betts of South Glens Falls, NY, and Katelyn Klotz of South Glens Falls, NY, both make their first appearances on an Empire 8 All-Conference list, picking up Third Team honors. Betts led the team in points with 23 and goals with 10. Klotz stepped into the defensive midfielder position for the Hawks and also proved to be a threat offensively, recording two goals.
