GENESEO, NY (10/08/2013)(readMedia)-- Herbert Susmann from Ithaca, N.Y. (14850), is one of 15 Presidential Scholars for the 2013-14 academic year at the State University of New York at Geneseo.
A Presidential Scholar is a top-achieving member of the senior class who exemplifies Geneseo's institutional values and also serves as a student ambassador for the college.
To receive the honor, a student must hold a minimum grade point average of 3.6 and demonstrate an active involvement with the community. They are nominated by faculty members and reviewed by a panel of faculty and students before being recommended to the provost for final approval.
