HERKIMER, NY (11/22/2011)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College Baseball Captain Kyle Schwartz of Patchogue has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in a Division I baseball program for 2012-13.
Schwartz, a Business: Accounting major at HCCC, has signed on to play for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. UAPB has scheduled games in 2012 against Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Arkansas at Little Rock, Oklahoma State, and Alabama. Schwartz was a starting pitcher for Herkimer as a freshman last year. He posted a 4-1 record with a 3.48 ERA in six starts last year. In six starts, Schwartz had complete games in three games. Schwartz is from Patchugue-Medford High School in Long Island, NY.
