NEW LONDON, CT (04/30/2012)(readMedia)-- Claire von Loesecke, a freshman at Connecticut College, has been elected Student Government Association (SGA) chair of residential affairs for the 2012-2013 academic year.
As chair of residential affairs, von Loesecke will oversee the House Council, which establishes a budget and oversees all financial transactions for the various dormitories on campus.
Von Loesecke, a 2011 graduate of Hingham High School, is the daughter of David and Karen von Loesecke of Hingham.
The SGA considers issues and formulates policies in areas primarily or exclusively involving the student body at Connecticut College and seeks to extend channels of communication, increase areas of cooperation and foster a greater acceptance of shared responsibility between faculty, administration and students.
