Hobart Book Village in the Western Catskills

Lots of holiday discounts in store for travelers

DELHI, NY (10/24/2008)(readMedia)-- The Hobart Book Village continues to celebrate the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce's prestigious "Tourism of the Year" award by announcing another Second Saturday event. On November 8,2008 is CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY to thank the many shoppers and participants in the events sponsored by The Hobart Book Village during this year that helped make the recognition possible.

On November 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the Main Street stores will be discounting books 10%. This event is not to be confused with the semi-annual Thanksgiving weekend sale on 11/28, 29, and 30th. Everyone is welcome to come and share in the celebration.

Those who do join in the celebration on November 8th will see some changes being made on Main Street. Liberty Rock Books will be in the process of renovating the space formerly occupied by the Hobart Book Mart and Fallsview Mystery Shop in preparation for their opening in late Fall of this year. Liberty Rock Books brings an extensive collection of books on a broad range of categories and will be in full swing by the Spring of 2009.

During the year the Hobart Book Village plans Second Saturday events. The ninth event will be a CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS on Saturday, December 13. The goal of the SECOND SATURDAY program is to provide a pleasant and instructive day in Hobart on a specific Saturday of each month -- the SECOND - so that our neighbors and friends can expect that 'something is going on in Hobart' on that day. The Hobart Book Village hopes you have enjoyed the events and look forward to another year.
