EASTON, MA (09/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Lindsay Martin, a senior marketing major at the College, was recently chosen as one of the top two national scholarship recipients for the Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society. Winner of the $2,000 Mildred R. Marion Award, Martin has maintained a grade point average of 3.94 at Stonehill and in addition to Delta Mu Delta, is a member of the Lambda Epsilon Sigma Honor Society.

A teaching assistant for Professor of Business Administration and Marketing Program Director Geoff Lantos, she is the first Stonehill student to earn a Delta Mu Delta Scholarship since 2004.

"Lindsay is a motivated self-starter who, although extremely bright and a quick learner, also studies and otherwise works hard, juggling excellence in school with being actively involved in leadership positions with multiple campus organizations as well as several regular volunteer activities. She is dedicated to excellent performance all around," said Lantos.

In the spring of 2010, Martin was named one of just two recipients of the NEDMA (New England Direct Marketing Association) Direct Marketing Scholarship. In addition to receiving $3,000 towards her tuition, Martin also attended two conferences on direct marketing through the NEDMA Foundation.

Last summer she was a full-time paid intern at Polaris Direct, a letter shop and print management company that works in the direct mail industry in her hometown of Hooksett, NH.
