Honolulu native presents research at annual undergraduate conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (05/14/2012)(readMedia)-- Christina Tamaru of Honolulu, Hawaii recently presented at the annual Whitman College Undergraduate Conference on Tuesday, April 10. Her presentation was titled "The 'Herbivorous' Men of Japan: Negotiating a New Masculinity."

Tamaru, the daughter of Richard and Lena Tamaru, is a 2008 graduate of the Iolani School. She is currently a senior Asian studies major at Whitman.

The undergraduate conference is an annual opportunity for Whitman students to share their research and creative projects with the community. Presentations are given by students in all disciplines.
