Hooked Rugs a Hit with State Fair Judges

West Des Moines resident Jone VanVleet won Best of Show in the Fabric and Threads Hooked Rugs contest judged prior to the start of the 2008 Iowa State Fair. Newton's Joanne Thomason won the prestigious Sweepstakes award.

Both women will receive a $15 cash prize and a ribbon.

All Fabric and Threads entries will remain on display throughout the Fair on the upper level of the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
