Horsin' Around Trolley Tours Add Theme Tours to Schedule

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (08/10/2009)(readMedia)-- Because of the popularity of the San Francisco style trolley car sightseeing trips, Karen Golden, president of Horsin' Around Trolley Tours has announced additions to the tour schedules. "We've found that our riders are having so much fun and learning so much about Saratoga Springs that we've added theme tours and a shuttle to the Race Course while keeping the basic tours. For our riders who like to snack on something special, we've also added the "Original Saratoga Chips" on board the trolley for $2 a box."

The new theme tours are:

Gallery Gazing on Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM is a VIP tour of Beekman Street and Broadway Galleries. The tour offers discounts, refreshments and the chance to see crafters at work and meet local artists.

Tavern Tuesdays from 4-7:30 PM is a pub crawl with special prices for drinks and appetizers at The Olde Bryan Inn, Tropic Hut, Horseshoe Tavern, The Starting Gate and Parting Glass plus chances to win a package for two to see Tiger Woods play at Turning Stone.

Sunday Suppers from 6-9:30 PM. Take the trolley to an international, progressive dinner of five courses at five restaurants around the city: Shanghai Grill, Saratoga Diner, The Big Apple, Leon's Restaurant, and Parting Glass. Cost: $50 per person.

"Health, Horses and History" narrated by Charlie Kuenzel and Dave Patterson who entertain with expert knowledge and vignettes about Saratoga Springs on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM; Fridays at 10:00 AM.

Race Course Shuttle is $5 per person one way; $2 for Hampton Inn guests.

All tours, including the shuttle, leave The Hampton Inn at 25 Lake Avenue.
