Houston Resident Elected to Villanova Alumni Association Board of Directors

VILLANOVA, PA (08/25/2011)(readMedia)-- Four Villanova University alumni have been elected to the Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA) Board of Directors, the governing body that establishes the overall strategic direction of the VUAA. Maryalice Morro, '83 Nursing; Thomas V. Sanzone, '68 Engineering; Patricia M. Esposito, '80 A&S; and Stephen P. Murphy, '85 A&S; will serve three-year terms representing the VUAA within the University community and providing guidance to the Office of Alumni Relations.

Thomas V. Sanzone, of Houston, Texas, is the Senior Executive for Engineering at MRI Technologies. During a 43-year-long career at NASA, he trained astronauts, including the famed Apollo 11 team, and eventually held the title of General Manager of the Houston office. Mr. Sanzone received the NASA Exceptional Public Service Medal and Rotary National Award for Space Achievement, in addition to numerous other accolades, for his aeronautical work. He is a lifetime member of Villanova's Engineering Alumni Society and a member of Villanova's Houston Alumni Association Chapter.
