ALBANY, NY (10/21/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York Association for Pupil Transportation will hold a press conference at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at the Eagle Mills Elementary School (Bethlehem Central School District) at 27 Van Dyke Road in Delmar, NY.

WHAT: | The purpose of the press event is to share the results of a pilot project involving the installation of an "ELSAG" digital license plate reader on school buses in three school districts including Bethlehem Central School District, Canandaigua City Schools and Brewster Central School District. The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee supported the project with funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.State Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, David Swarts, will participate in the press event and offer remarks about the dangers of illegal passing and the results of the pilot project. |
