ALBANY, NY (08/22/2009)(readMedia)-- New York State Inspector General Joseph Fisch announced three separate arrests of state employees this week for alleged theft of state resources. Charged were:
- Denise Clark, 50, of Schenectady, a state Office of Mental Health therapy aide assigned to the Capital District Psychiatric Center's Union Street home in Schenectady. Clark allegedly stole two state benefit cards on June 27 belonging to residents and used them to buy $550 in groceries at Price Chopper in Schenectady and the Wal-Mart in Glenville. She faces two felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property.
- Robert Colvin, 24, of Unadilla, an engineering technician for the state Department of Transportation. Colvin faces grand larceny charges in two incidents. He allegedly stole a DOT laptop computer. In addition, when jailed on harassment charges arising from a domestic dispute, Colvin bailed himself out using a state credit card.
- William Goodine, 23, of Ravena, a laborer with the state Office of the Medicaid Inspector General in Albany. Goodine was charged with grand larceny and official misconduct for allegedly stealing a state credit card and using it to buy gas for his personal pickup truck.
