Jack Germano Honored at Western New England University College of Engineering

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Jack P. Germano of Newington, CT, received the Department of Industrial Engineering Award for Outstanding Senior during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. The award is given to the student judged to be the top student in the program by a vote of the faculty.

Western New England Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering Dr. Julie Drzymalski praised Germano's intellect and quiet leadership. "At first, Jack isn't the type that stands out and gets noticed. But you slowly realize that not only does he know all the answers all the time, he also has that deeper understanding of the material, demonstrated by his thought-provoking questions," said Drzymalski.

Germano graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. While at Western New England University, he and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Tau honor society. Germano has been accepted into the highly competitive Leadership Training Program at United Technologies, starting as a program associate at Sikorsky Aircraft.
