Jackpot-Winning Ticket for Last Night's Mega Millions Drawing Sold at Coulsons News Center in Albany

SCHENECTADY, NY (03/26/2011)(readMedia)-- The New York Lottery today confirmed the sole jackpot winning ticket for the March 25th Mega Millions drawing was sold at Coulsons News Center at 420 Broadway in Albany. The lucky Quick Pick ticket is worth $319 milion.

The ticket holder may choose to receive the prize as an annuity to be paid in 26 payments over 25 years or as a one-time lump sum (cash value) payment . Based on total sales across all 43 participating Mega Millions lotteries leading up to last night's drawing, the annuity value of the jackpot has increased to $319 mllion. The cash value is $202.9 million.

This is the 24th jackpot-winning Mega Millions ticket sold in New York since the New York Lottery began offering the game in 2002. It is the largest Mega Millions prize ever won by a Capital Region resident.

The jackpot for March 29th Mega Millions drawing is $12 million.
