SUMMERDALE, PA (03/14/2012)(readMedia)-- Jaimee Forry, of Port Royal, Pa., has been selected as the Student of the Month for March. Forry started her Central Penn career in the summer term of 2011 in the medical assisting program, working towards her associate degree. She is currently set to graduate in spring 2012.
Forry was inspired to attend Central Penn College for the esteemed medical assisting major that the college offers. In pursuing her major, Forry attracted the attention of Professor Nikki Marhefka, who nominated her for the Student of the Month honor.
Outside of academia, Forry is acting secretary for Club M Ed, plays field hockey and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is very passionate about helping those in need and being around children. Given her passion, she aspires to work in a neonatal intensive care unit or an oncology center. With her degree, Forry intends to become a certified phlebotomy technician, along with having her certification as a medical assistant.
"Seeing my long-term goal and where I want to be five to ten years from now keeps me grounded and focused on what I need to do in order to achieve those goals," Forry explains. "The skills I have learned in my clinical courses will always stay with me as I progress through the medical field."
