Jallen Bashford Named the NACC Football Defensive Player of the Week

Rockford University junior linebacker Jallen Bashford has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week. This marks the second straight week that a Regent football player has been honored by the NACC with a weekly award (Gerardo Zamudio - K/P).

Jallen Bashford capped off his record-breaking season with yet another outstanding performance on Saturday. Bashford tied his own single-game school record with an astounding 19 total tackles, including one tackle for loss. His performance against the Red Devils brought his season total to 149 tackles, which shattered both the NACC (126) and Rockford University (96) record for tackles in a season. Additionally, Bashford is currently the NCAA Division III leader averaging 14.9 tackles per game this season.
