Jason Carroll Named Central Penn College Student of the Month for May

Jason Carroll, Central Penn College homeland security management student, has been named the Student of the Month for May 2012.

SUMMERDALE, PA (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Jason Carroll, of Manchester, Pa., has been selected as the Central Penn College Student of the Month for May. Carroll is a continuing education online student pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland Security Management.

Carroll was also recommended by another faculty member as an exemplary graduating student who has "gone above and beyond during his time at Central Penn College as a 'You can. You will.' student" and "who has turned challenges into opportunities and transformed his dreams into reality." She described him as an excellent student who embraced challenges and consistently led group discussions in her fully-online class, as well as the best writer in her class.

Originally hailing from Dallastown, Pa., Carroll attended Dallastown High School, where he graduated in 2001. He went on to attend Shippensburg University from 2002 to 2005. Currently, he lives in Manchester, Pa., with his wife.

"Central Penn has taught me that hard work, dedication, balance and perseverance will make me successful in anything that I pursue," says Carroll. "As well, Central Penn has taught me that anything is possible at any point in your life, no matter the circumstances. I never thought that I would return to college after previously earning a bachelor's degree.
