STORM LAKE, IA (04/25/2012)(readMedia)-- The Buena Vista University Jazz Choir will present their annual production, Thursday evening, May 3 at 7:30 PM in Anderson Auditorium. The Jazz Ensemble will present choreographed and stand-up jazz selections including new

Score-Not Afraid At All and some old favorites including S'Wonderful by George Gershwin, Tuxedo Junction-made popular by The Manhattan Transfer; and The Lady is a Tramp from Babes in Arms. Choir members share ensemble solos and special solo performances will include Kylie Peterson (Lincoln, NE), Kelsey Davidson (Schaller), Stephen Condon (Barnum), Kayla Shadlow (Storm Lake) and Chelsey Snyder (Lake City). Andrea Minikis (Fort Dodge) and Jacob Pedersen (Manson) will be singing a duet from their upcoming BVU Vocal Recital. The 2012 Jazz Choir is backed up by instrumental ensemble directed by Jacob Pedersen and selected BVU students. The hour program is appropriate for all age groups. Taylor Burgraff from Fairmont, MN and Hannah Anderson from Boone, IA will share the MC duties and keep the program moving. The public is invited. There is no admission charge and this is an academic ACES event.
