Jeamela Guilloteau selected as a Posse Scholar at Union College

SCHENECTADY, NY (01/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Jeamela Guilloteau of Brockton, MA, has been selected as a Posse Scholar at Union College in Schenectady, NY.

The Posse Scholar program identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential. Union College is one of Posse's nearly 40 partner colleges and universities, each of which award four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships to groups of 10 students – or Posses – annually.

Guilloteau, who attends the Brockton High School, was chosen after a rigorous selection process. She is an outstanding student, taking almost all honors, AP and IB courses. With a passion for science, Guilloteau continues to push herself with rigorous courses to best prepare for college level work.  She has been involved in a broad range of activities during her high school career, holding many leadership positions. Guilloteau is most passionate about her role as captain of the varsity volleyball team. She serves as secretary of her school's National Honor Society and plans the organization's service events. She hopes to pursue the pre-med track at Union College.
