Jenna Dornak of Cudahy to perform with Marquette student dance company in Catey Ott Dance Collective

MILWAUKEE, WI (03/25/2014)(readMedia)-- Jenna Dornak of Cudahy, Wis. will perform with the Marquette University student dance company Pure Dance Marquette in Living It Up (and down), an evening length dance production by Catey Ott Dance Collective. Catey Ott Thompson, adjunct instructor of digital media and performing arts at Marquette, will present the concert of her choreography at Danceworks Studio Theatre, located at 1661 N. Water Street, Saturday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 30, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The concert is created to the music of "The Incomparable Hildegarde," Thompson's grandmother's cousin, a Wisconsin girl who worked her way to fame and fortune in the 1930-70's cabaret scene in New York City and Europe.

Dornak is one of five members of Marquette's Pure Dance student-run company to enter the woman's dance studio domain to perform in "Peers through the Tiers." She is a senior in Marquette's College of Health Sciences studying biomedical sciences, biological sciences and dance. She has been dancing for the past 17 years, and was a member of the Young Dance Academy Technique Intensive and competitive dance programs in Oak Creek, Wis. for eight years. During her time at Young Dance Academy, Dornak had the opportunity to attend dance conventions and competitions across the United States.
