Jenna Schmaljohn of Frederick Co-Authors Eastern Psychological Association Paper
CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Jenna Schmaljohn '13 of Frederick, MD recently presented her undergraduate research paper at the 119th annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA), held in New York City. EPA is the oldest of the regional arms of the American Psychological Association, and covers all colleges and universities from Rhode Island and Massachusetts through the mid-Atlantic and Washington, D.C. This paper, coauthored with Dr. George Spilich and several other students, examined the effects of traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) on useful field of view to determine the potential impacts of TBIs on vehicular accident risks.
Schmaljohn is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta history honor society and Psi Chi psychology honor society. The history major/psychology minor serves as the staff artist for The Collegian, Washington College's student literary magazine. She is a graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School.
