Jennifer Killion of Cambridge receives gerontology award from Elms College
CHICOPEE, MA (05/19/2010)(readMedia)-- Jennifer Killion of Cambridge, Massachusetts, received the Heritage Hall Gerontology Award at Elms College's annual Honors Convocation. The award is presented to a nursing student who has completed a clinical experience at Heritage Hall Rehabilitation Campus in Agawam, Massachusetts, and has demonstrated or shown promise in providing care to older adults in a long term care, sub-acute medical or rehabilitation, or assisted living setting.
Killion, a nursing major, just completed her sophomore year at Elms College.
The award is based on the student's statement describing his/her interest, clinical experience, or intention to pursue career goals that include the care of elders; and a recommendation by the nursing faculty member.
