LOCK HAVEN, PA (10/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Jeofferey Traore of Forest Hill, Md., has been awarded an Army ROTC scholarship. The Lock Haven University freshman earned the scholarship through the Army High School scholarship process last spring based on his high school performance. To activate the scholarship, he had to become a member of the Lock Haven University Army ROTC Battalion and pass the Army Physical Fitness Test.
Cadet Traore is a 2011 graduate of Bel Air High School. He is the son of Gilbert Traore and Geralda Rhama.
Also receiving a scholarship was Curtis Schneider of Lewisburg, Pa
LTC Joseph R. Loren explained that the Army awards the 4-year scholarship to high school students who have excelled in scholarship, athletics and leadership. He added, "Cadet Schneider and Cadet Traore are outstanding young Americans who have great potential to be future leaders of the United States Army and the nation."
