Jeremy Lachman Receives Convocation Award at Hampden-Sydney College

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (09/13/2013)(readMedia)-- At Opening Convocation on Tuesday, September 10, Jeremy Keith Lachman, a senior at Hampden-Sydney College, received the President's Award for Academic Excellence in Humanities.

An Allan Scholar, Jeremy has recently been named a Senior Fellow in Philosophy and Religion and will complete an independent study under academic supervision. He serves as a Writing Center Tutor and is a member of the honor society Phi Beta Kappa (academics). He received the Sophomore Academic Excellence Award during Final Convocation in Spring 2012 and the First Honor Samuel S. Jones Phi Beta Kappa Award at Opening Convocation in Fall 2012. A religion major, Jeremy is a graduate of North Carolina School of Science & Math and is the son of Jon & Lisa Lachman of Arapahoe.
