Jeremy Lachman Receives Final Convocation Award at Hampden-Sydney College

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/10/2013)(readMedia)-- At Final Convocation on April 25, Hampden-Sydney College senior Jeremy Keith Lachman received the William Carrington Finch Religion Award, presented by Dr. Robert G. Hall, Elliott Professor of Religion. Established in 1997 by Lucy Bedinger Finch in honor of her husband, Dr. William Carrington Finch '29, this award is given to a junior religion major committed to a profession in the ministry or graduate theological education.

An Allan Scholar, Jeremy is a member of the Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and the honor society Phi Beta Kappa (academics). He received the Sophomore Academic Excellence Award during Final Convocation in Spring 2012 and the First Honor Samuel S. Jones Phi Beta Kappa Award at Opening Convocation in September 2012. A religion major, Jeremy graduated from North Carolina School of Science and Math and is the son of Jon & Lisa Lachman of Arapahoe.
