SCRANTON, PA (07/20/2012)(readMedia)-- Jessica A. Wagner of Babylon was among just 25 members of The University of Scranton's Class of 2012 to graduate from the Jesuit university's Honors Program. She received a bachelor of science, magna cum laude, with a double major in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology and philosophy and also graduated from the University's Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program. She was mentored by Timothy Foley, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry, and her thesis was "Interaction of Glutathione with Brain Proteins: Glutathionylation of Cytoskeletal Proteins and Destabilization." Wagner will attend Yale University, New Haven, Conn., to obtain a master's degree in public health.
