Jillian Ferro Named to NE-10 Second/All-Rookie Team; Coach Winn Selected NE-10 Coach of the Year

PLEASANTVILLE, NY (11/03/2011)(readMedia)-- Women's Soccer freshman forward Jillian Ferro (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Second Team as well as the All-Rookie Team, while Head Coach Mike Winn was named NE-10 Coach of the Year as selected by the 16 NE-10 coaches.

In her rookie season, Ferro led the Setters in points and goals on the season finishing with 20 and eight respectively. She finished eighth overall in points and seventh in goals, while tying for third in conference-only goals and placing third in points. Ferro also set the Pace freshman season marks of points and goals in a season, while tying the overall single season mark for game-winning goals with three.

Head Coach Mike Winn guided the Setters back to the NE-10 playoffs for the first time since 2004. Pace finished in seventh place with an NE-10 record of 7-6-1, while posting wins over regional powers Franklin Pierce, Adelphi and UMass Lowell, while tying another ranked team in Southern Connecticut State.
