John McCoy Awarded Presidential Mentoring Scholarship

OMAHA, NE (02/28/2014)(readMedia)-- John McCoy, a junior from Peosta, was awarded a $1500 Presidential Mentoring Scholarship from Creighton University.

A junior in the Honors Program at Creighton and majoring in International Relations and Economics in the Heider College of Business, McCoy is deeply involved with Creighton's Students Union where he has served as president for the past two years. He is also working in International Relations on Global Dependency Networks with Terry Clark, Ph.D., a specialist in comparative politics.

The Presidential Mentoring Scholarships were initiated by the president's office at Creighton University seven years ago to encourage and develop the very best students to be competitive in applying for national and international scholarships and fellowships.
