Johnson claims fourth G-MAC Player of the Week honor

NASHVILLE, TN (10/23/2012)(readMedia)-- For the fourth time this season, Kristen Johnson has been named the G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week for her efforts in leading the team to a 2-0 week, both 3-1 wins over Union and Martin Methodist. Johnson recorded a triple-double in each of the wins last week, combining for 26 kills, 29 assists and 24 digs.

She averaged 3.71 kills, 4.14 assists and 3.43 digs per set and now ranks third in kills, sixth in hitting percentage and assists, seventh in blocks and digs, and tenth in service aces. She is the only player to be ranked in the top ten in all six categories, in fact she is the only player to be ranked in five different categories.

The Trojans are now 18-11 and 8-3 in their last 11 games, including a current three-match winning streak.
