SCRANTON, PA (01/11/2010)(readMedia)-- The University of Scranton has named six individuals to its Board of Trustees: Marie A. George, Ph.D., Radnor; Joseph J. Kadow, Esq., '78, Tampa, Fla.; Lawrence Lynch, CPA, '81, Princeton, N.J.; Rev. Ryan Maher, S.J., Washington, D.C.; Joseph T. Sebastianelli, Esq., '68, Sea Girt, N.J.; and Joseph Sorbera, Staten Island, N.Y.
Sorbera is currently president, chief executive officer, and chief operating officer of JLS Industries Inc. and JLS Cost Management Systems Inc., New York, N.Y. He previously served as chief administrative officer for JLS. Sorbera is a member of the board of trustees and the advancement committee for Loyola School and is an executive committee member for the Pride, Passion, Promise Campaign at The University of Scranton. He is a member of the American Society of Cost Estimators, the Building Officials & Code Administrators Organization and the Greater New York Building Trades Association.
