Josh Kleinfelter of Bellwood recognized as Lycoming College's Most Outstanding Male Athlete

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (04/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Josh Kleinfelter of Bellwood, a senior football running back, was recognized as the Most Outstanding Male Athlete in 2010-11 during Lycoming College's Honors Convocation on April 17, 2011.
Kleinfelter, who studies criminal justice, racked up a series of awards en route to being named the Most Outstanding Male Athlete, including Second Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors, the football team's Offensive MVP award for the second straight year, and D3PRODAY.com Honorable Mention All-American honors. He completed one of the best seasons ever for a Warrior running back in 2010, as he rushed for 1,212 yards on 216 attempts, posting eight touchdowns and averaging 121.2 yards per game, despite fighting injuries for the last four games of the year. He became the first running back in school history to post five straight 100-yard rushing games and the first to post three straight games with more than 200 all-purpose yards. Kleinfelter, who finished his career with school records in career rushing yards (3,665), rushing attempts (773), rushing yards per game (91.6), all-purpose yards (4,474) and all-purpose yards per game (111.8), is the only running back in school history to earn four all-conference nods in a career.
Lycoming College is a national liberal arts and sciences school dedicated to the undergraduate education of 1,400 students. It is recognized as a Tier 1 institution by U.S. News and World Report. Founded in 1812 in Williamsport, Pa., Lycoming is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the nation.
