Junior Joel Richardson of Butler, Pa., to serve as choreographer of Grove City College musical

GROVE CITY, PA (11/03/2011)(readMedia)-- Junior Joel Richardson of Butler, Pa., will serve as choreographer when the Tony Award-winning musical, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," comes to life on the Grove City College main stage on Wednesday, Nov. 9, to Saturday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus. The musical is free and open to the public; tickets are required.

The musical, written by Rupert Holmes, is based on the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. This murder mystery musical was the first Broadway production to allow the audience to decide the ending by means of a vote. Notable songs include "There You Are," "Moonfall" and "Don't Quit While You're Ahead."

Dr. James G. Dixon III, chair of the department of English and professor of English, will direct the production.
