LAKE FOREST, IL (01/06/2011)(readMedia)-- Lake Forest College student Karen Larson '11 of Lakewood, Colo., won the College's All-College Writing Contest with her paper written for professor Rui Zhu's philosophy course, Topics of Japanese Thought. Larson's paper was titled "Serious Humor in Sei Shonagon's Pillow Book" (attached PDF). Larson is a graduate of Green Mountain High School.
The All-College Writing Contest was created to encourage interest and excellence in scholarly writing by all undergraduate students enrolled at the College. The contest is sponsored by the Writing Center and juried by faculty members from a variety of disciplines.
