Katelynn Skoda Named Female Athlete of the Month

HERKIMER, NY (01/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College has named Katelynn Skoda female athlete of the month for December 2011. Skoda, from Ballston Spa is on the women's Swimming and Diving team. She is majoring in Human Services and is a senior. Coach Vicki Brown said "Katelynn works tremendously hard in practice everyday. She is constantly pushing herself to reach the next level. She has come far in the sport and I'm extremely proud of her."
HCCC's Green and Gold Club honors an outstanding male and female athlete each month.
Herkimer County Community College is a unit of the State University of New York, located in Herkimer, NY about 20 miles east of Utica, NY. With an enrollment of approximately 3,600 students, Herkimer offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs, on-campus housing, an active co-curricular activities schedule and a national championship athletic program. Herkimer is a Division III member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and has amassed 33 national, 85 regional and 126 conference championships. Herkimer placed second in the 2010-11 National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup competition.
