CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Katharine Miller '14 of Norfolk, VA recently presented her undergraduate research paper at the 119th annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA), held in New York City. EPA is the oldest of the regional arms of the American Psychological Association and covers all colleges and universities from Rhode Island and Massachusetts through the mid-Atlantic and Washington, D.C. Miller's paper, entitled "Effects of Symbolic Revenge and Forgiveness on Perceptions of a Worst Enemy," was co-authored with Dr. Kevin McKillop, and examined the different acceptances of real apologies or non-apologies from friends or strangers.

Miller serves as the vice president of marketing and public relations for Washington College's Beta Pi chapter of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and as the fundraising chair for Washington College Relay for Life. She is also a member of the dance and equestrian teams. Miller is a graduate of Norfolk Collegiate.

Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
